oh snap!

weather, originally uploaded by frequ3ntliblond3.

our first cold snap! sorry, that was cheesy! i think i can officially say that it is cold. really really cold at night. atleast for us silly floridians! this is the time of year when it gets this cold, and i really do love it. especially when my feet are frozen the whole time. i mean, right now, i am currently wearing:
1 pair of socks
1 pair of leggings
long pants
undershirt
short sleeved shirt
scarf
hoodie

it looks like i'm about ready to run into a snow storm or something. to top it all off, it's windy and cloudy. i'm sticking myself inside today and not coming out for a long time. until the sun is out, atleast. i'm a big wimp, i know, i know! all this complaining must make it seem like i hate this. i don't, for the most part. it is way better than hot and humid for most of the year. i'm just not used to it, and don't have the proper clothing. hence the layers. ah, well, it gives me an excuse to stay huddled up in my house and drink hot cocoa, and that's good enough reason for me! hope this wintry day is treating you all well!

  2. Don't feel bad. I'm just as excited as you are about this weather. I'm SO glad that it's cold. I wish I had proper attire for it, but alas I do not.

  3. When I lived in PSL, I couldn't wait for the (cold) weather to get there. I would much rather put on pants, a shirt, a sweater, be under a blanket on the couch, with some hot chocolate, then be so hot and not be able to do anything. When my kids were little and we lived there, they used to wake up and say when will it be cold outside? I would tell them that they would know when it's cold when they woke up and felt their window. When it got cold, they would get dressed in warm clothes and be outside all day long. Now Alyssa hates snow and is looking forward to be in schooling for the Navy in Pensacola FL.
