some of my faves right now.

1. The weather. It's gorgeous in South Florida today. Not too hot, not too cold, but just right.
2. Water. I drink it all day every day. Just can't get enough.
3. The shake I had this morning before I took my first History test,
4. The Little Red House. You will find yummy desserts, hilarious stories, and generally someone who is just living life well.
5. My H&M hoodie.
6. These shoes. I've had them since before last summer and wear them regularly throughout the week.
7. The fact that our bathroom will be done in a couple of weeks. I'm so excited to have my own bathroom again!
8. Aftershock Dance. That's the dance team I'm a part of. We're getting ready for our first performance this Saturday!
9. Summer Harms' blog. She was my first favorite blogger. I'm sure you'll find something you'll love.
10. The fact that flowers are blooming and I can see them out of every single one of our windows.
11. All of you lovely people. You're all my favorite.

What are your favorites?

  1. Oooh, faves!
    1. Pitchers and catchers report on the 17th for spring training in Florida!
    2. The Nanny. I've been watching reruns and laughing out loud.
    3. My dog Carter. He's a sweetheart. I love coming home because he's so excited.
    4. Going to be 40 this weekend!
    5. Spending time with friends that I haven't seen lately.

  2. 1. Skype. Most of my friends live too far away.
    2. John Milton. I know over 300 years separate us, but I'm almost convinced he and I are kindred spirits.
    3. The Civil Wars. Their debut album 'Barton Hollow' is on repeat in my car. I secretly want to be Joy Williams. (I've been telling that secret to people so much lately that it's not really a secret anymore.)
    4. Winter. I know I've lived in the South all of my life, and that makes this seem counterintuitive, but I can't help it. I'd be inclined to move north if I didn't love it here so much.
    5. Weddings. No, I'm not getting married, but a lot of people I know are, and it's so great to see all of these couples in love and starting a life together. Especially since some of them are some of my best friends in the world. It makes me happy just looking at them. I'm eager to start my wedding hopping this spring. (I'm still not in a hurry to get married, though. Single and 20-something is a-okay with me.)
    6. Church. This meaning the whole body of Christ, as well as the local group of people I'm involved with. Specifically the latter. It's really great getting to know these people more and more the longer I'm with them, working with them, serving with them, and living life with them. There's a reason God commands us to interact.

  3. Oh hey, favorites. Sure. Today was gloomy and emo, so thinking about my favorites will help.

    1) I second Emily's #3. The Civil Wars is amazing. (I should've told you about this, since my New Year resolution was to keep you up on good music. I have failed! :( But seriously, LOVE.)

    2) Green tea. I'm sort of obsessed. At least it's healthy.

    3) Halfway to Normal, my Twitter/writer friend Kristin's blog. She writes so many good posts that have been inspiring me lately.

    4) Driving home alone in gently settling fog tonight while listening to obnoxious dance music. Loudly.

    5) At the risk of being a total girl... this hair stuff. Yes, it is expensive, but I swear, it's a miracle in a bottle for my temperamental curls. And last time I got my hair cut, they gave me a free sample... I've stretched that half ounce freebie for a month. :) K, I'm done with my commercial now.

yup, I feel better already. =)
