i'm back! sorry about my blogging drop-off for the past week and a half. things go super busy for a little while. that is not what i am here to tell you all about, though.
last week i got together with my best friends mom and we baked wheat bread together. we grinded the wheat ourselves, used fresh gluten and everything. when i say it was fresh bread, i mean it was fresh bread. it was delightful. my frriends mom makes all of her own bread. her rye bread is to die for, but the wheat bread definitely won me over this time. with some jam spread across. mm..mm..mm.
so my cooking adventures are coming along, and it proving to be more fun and rewarding than i originally thought. i even cooked my first meal all by myself the other night, and it was pretty good.

Mmmm! I could smell the fresh bread baking while I was reading. I made homemade jelly once. We picked the grapes off the vine, crushed them, boiled them, sieved them, and everything. Too bad we can't mix your homemade wheat bread with my homemade grape jelly. :-)
